Parrain's Charbroiled Oysters on The Oyster Bed
This recipe makes enough for 2 dozen oysters to be prepared using The Oyster Bed cooking platter. Pictured is the “Petite” version of The Oyster Bed. Consider using the “Le Grande” version and adjusting the recipe accordingly if entertaining larger crowds.

Seafood Ingredients:
Pre-shucked oysters
Cajun Compound Butter Ingredients:
¼ cup Parrain’s Cajun Butter Seasoning (Louisiana Certified!)
¼ cup beer or white wine
2 sticks salted butter

Toppings:
½ cup bacon bits
½ cup sliced green onions
1 cup shredded italian cheese
1 lemon

French Bread

Additional topping options (for added breading and spice if desired):
½ cup Italian bread crumbs
¼ cup diced jalapenos

Directions:

1. Pre-heat oven or grill to ~450f 

2. Create Parrain’s Cajun Compound Butter
3. Prepare Oysters:
  • Spray The Oyster Bed with cooking spray or coat with olive oil to prevent sticking
  • Place a spoon full of Parrains Cajun Compound Butter into each cooking well and into the reservoir
  • Place 1-2 oysters in each well (depending on size)
  • Top with bacon bits and chopped green onions (and diced jalapenos if desired)
  • Place in oven or on grill until the butter is slightly boiling
  • Remove from heat temporarily and top with cheese (and Italian bread crumbs if desired
  • Place back in oven or on grill very briefly to melt cheese (consider a quick broil if in oven)
4. Serve Oysters:
  • Remove from heat
  • Cut lemon in half and squeeze lemon juice on top
  • Serve with sliced french bread
  • Enjoy & Repeat!
